This time last year
looked VERY different for me.
I was preparing myself to fly across the country to spend New Year’s with a man I had just met, and who would be deploying in 12 days… That’s pretty fucking crazy.

I'm not going to make New Year's Resolutions
because I never keep them, and see them as optional.
But I am going to make a list of things that ARE GOING TO happen in 2010:
I will lose weight. 10 pounds by May and another 5 by next December. Not because I am self conscious or because I have a body image problem… but because none of my clothes fit. I can’t afford to buy new clothes. I am only going to drink water in 2010…...

My boy is the sweetest boy I know.
He calls me darlin on the phone.
He cleaned his apartment for me.
He holds me when I need it and pulls my hair when I need it.
He watches me when I don’t want him to, and even when I do.
He doesn’t make fun of me for running that red light, that one time in the middle of the night.

I just finished my shopping and wrapping. I have no moneys left.
But, MY MOM ASKED ME TO MAKE MY BRUSSEL SPROUT DISH FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER!!!!! I’ve always helped my mom in the kitchen… but never has she asked me to make my own!!! Here’s the plan:
